Lovingly bound by our Constitutions to the daily praying of Lauds, Vespers, and Compline, our lives are intimately bound up with the prayer of the Church. Our chanting of these hours form part of the asceticism which marks our lives of consecration. Praying the Office well necessitates sacrifice - sacrifice of time,

place, personal inclination. The sacrifices demanded of body and soul make praying the Office a tangible daily expression of the total gift of self indicated by our vows.

This joyous obligation joins us with all those who pray, have prayed, or will pray these hours. Uniting with the prayer of Christ, whose work the Office is, we particularly strive to pray una voce - one voice with our Sisters, one voice with all the saints who have ever prayed this prayer, one voice with Our Lady whose intercession we invoke before each hour, one voice with the Divine Bridegroom. own personality in the prayer and Person of the Beloved. ​Stepping out of ourselves, we step into His own perfectly efficacious praise of the Father. By our communal discipline and care for the Office, we not only say it, but in effect live it, allowing it to permeate our being and transform our lives into His Life.
