St. Louis Marie de Montfort

As daughters of our Blessed Mother, our life is imbued with a profound Marian spirit. We strive every day to live more fully our consecration  “to Jesus through Mary” according to the method of St. Louis de Montfort. 

Everything our Blessed Mother did or spoke was for the glory of God. We see this echoed in her Magnifcat, where her soul sings the praises of the Lord. She was God's perfect handmaid. By inviting our Blessed Mother to accompany us throughout the day – to act through us, to pray, rejoice, suffer and serve through us - we are asking that she, who knows how to give perfect praise to God, may magnify God in us.  

​​This complete consecration to Our Lady permeated St. Louis Marie de Montfort's entire life. He understood deeply how necessary it was for a soul to rely upon our Heavenly Mother, for through her, the soul would be led directly to Jesus​

​"As all perfection consists in our being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus it naturally follows that the most perfect of all devotions is that which conforms, unites, and consecrates us most completely to Jesus. Now of all God's creatures Mary is the most conformed to Jesus. It therefore follows that, of all devotions, devotion to her makes for the most effective consecration and conformity to him. The more one is consecrated to Mary, the more one is consecrated to Jesus. That is why perfect consecration to Jesus is but a perfect and complete consecration of oneself to the Blessed Virgin, which is the devotion I teach; or in other words, it is the perfect renewal of the vows and promises of holy baptism." We rejoice with heaven today, thanking our Lord for the gift of this dear saint, who shared with the world his tender love for the Blessed Mother and his profound understanding of how necessary she is to our salvation. May St. Louis Marie de Montfort intercede for us  and grant us the grace to have greater recourse to Our Lady so that we may be more closely united to Jesus.
