Send Forth Flowers
"Send forth flowers, as the lily, and yield a smell, and bring forth leaves in grace,
and praise with canticles, and bless the Lord in His works."
Communion Antiphon (Eccus. 39:19)
Today's feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is a very precious feast to a Marian community. It is more than just a set of beads, but rather a focal point of our daily prayer where we contemplate Christ near the side of His Holy Mother, for it is she who shows us the face of her Son and leads us into the depths of His mysteries.
May Our Lady, on this her glorious feast, reign down special graces upon and your loved ones, and may the rosary you offer today in her honor be for her a crown of the most precious roses upon her head.
May we be assisted, we beseech Thee, O Lord,
by the prayers of Thy most holy Mother, whose Rosary we celebrate,
that the virtue of the mysteries we adore may be shared
and the effect of the sacraments we have received may be obtained.
Who liveth and reigneth with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever. Amen.
Postcommunion for the Mass of Our Lady of the Rosary
On this blessed feast, we also wanted to share with you a few images! One of our sisters has a special gift for making rosaries. Below are just a few of the many rosaries she has stranded together for Our Lady. They truly are a beautiful work of art, made with tender devotion for the Mother of God.
