Ite ad Joseph! Go to Joseph!

Go to Joseph indeed! The dear foster father of our Redeemer is one of our best guides, protectors, and intercessors as we traverse this vale of tears. Certainly, if God chose him to be the guardian of the Word Incarnate and of the Mother of God, we ought to trust in him.

March is traditionally the month dedicated to St. Joseph, with his principle feast being on March 19th. Please take time this month to get to know and honor St Joseph - the just man, the patron of the Universal Church, and the foster-father of Jesus. St. Joseph, pray for us!

Soon, the Sisters will begin our novena to St. Joseph, ending on his feast day on March 19th. This is a unique novena in that it involves inwardly turning to St. Joseph several times throughout the day. While we will pray the Memorare to St. Joseph together each day as part of the novena, most of the prayers are personal and interior. It is a beautiful novena and we have provided the text below so you can join us in honoring this wonderful Saint and thanking God for the great gift of St. Joseph to the Church.


Novena to St. Joseph

No specific prayers are necessary. Each day for nine days, turn to St. Joseph in spirit, honoring him four times throughout the day. During each visit, consider one of the following aspects of St. Joseph, remembering to thank God for honoring St. Joseph and, through his intercession, request a similar grace.
1st Visit : St. Joseph's Fidelity to Grace and the Holy Ghost's action in his soul.
2nd Visit : St. Joseph's Fidelity to the Interior Life and Spirit of Recollection.
3rd Visit : St. Joseph's Love for Our Lady
4th Visit : St. Joseph's Love for the Divine Child

Memorare to St. Joseph
Remember, most pure spouse of Mary, ever Virgin, my loving protector, St. Joseph that no one ever had recourse to your protection or asked for your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding, therefore, in your goodness, I come before you and humbly implore you. Despise not my petitions, foster-father of the Redeemer, bust graciously receive them. Amen.
Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel confident that your prayers on my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God. Amen.
