In the Hand of God

"...The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead; and their passing away was thought an affliction and their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace."

HEARTS filled with gratitude for the opportunity to express our affection and to unite our prayers with the most powerful gift that can be offered the departed soul, the Community joined our Chaplain yesterday in commending the soul of his dear sister to our Lord's loving mercy through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. 

LOVING family, friends both new and old, united in a prayer of thanksgiving to our good God for the gift of Kathy's life among us, and gave voice to our plea that He be mindful of how her soul was washed by the waters of baptism, nourished by His own Body, and lovingly worshiped Him.  

REQUIEM aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.

SUBVENITE Sancti Dei, occurrite Angeli Domini: Suscipientes animam ejus, offerentes eam in conspectu Altissimi. Suscipiat te Christus qui vocavit te, et in sinum Abrahae Angeli deducant te.

Come to her aid, ye Saints of God, come forth to meet her, ye Angels of the Lord: receiving her soul, offer it in the sight of the Most High. May Christ receive thee who has called thee, and may the Angels lead thee into Abraham's bosom.
