Entrance Day

With great joy, we welcomed new sisters into our religious community on Thursday, the Feast of the Transfiguration. 

After the new Candidates give a final hug to their beloved families, they proceed to the door of Regina Pacis Convent, where they ceremoniously "knock," asking to be admitted as Aspirants to the life of a Marian Sister of Santa Rosa.  ​

Immediately the Candidates are led to the chapel, so that Jesus and Mary may be the first to embrace them. This embrace is tenderly realized as the Candidate kisses each wound of Christ. From this point forward, it is Christ crucified Who will take over their enter being, and with the help of His holy Mother, mold and shape them into the identity of a Spouse of Christ. ​

Kneeling before our Blessed Mother, the new Aspirants receive a candle, a reminder of their Baptismal promises - of which the religious profession brings these promises to their highest fulfillment.  Placing the candle at our Lady's feet, the Aspirants entrust the beginnings of their new religious life to her Immaculate Heart. Under the protection of her mantle and loving gaze, the new Aspirants will strive to imitate Mary, Queen of the Religious Life, in all things - learning how to serve Jesus as Mary did in the hidden life of Nazareth. ​

The Aspirants receive their first blessing from Reverend Mother and then proceed outside to finally embrace their eagerly awaiting new Sisters, who rejoice in God's blessings as He brings growth to this religious family.
