Christmas is a blessed season the world around, but in the convent, we welcome it with special joy. Our Spouse and Savior is born anew in our hearts and we delight in His coming. This year, the Sisters received a special Christmas gift: the ability to participate at a Solemn High Mass at our own Cathedral on Christmas night. After our pre-Mass Christmas carols, the children processed in, bringing the Infant to the manger for Father to bless and incense. It was truly a blessing and a great gift to be able to pray with this beautiful expression of our rich liturgical heritage.
Divine Infant King Jesus, come down into our hearts!
Christmas morning we welcomed our Infant King by venerating His little feet, renewing our total consecration, and singing Him sweet songs. This private veneration was followed by our Christmas morning Mass at Dawn. The Sisters' jubilation extends through the whole octave of Christmas with special outings and extra community time to foster the season's spirit of love, peace, and joy.
