“We should ever be grateful for and love the vocation to which God has called us. ...What a privilege it is to serve God, even in the least capacity!”
Beatified on November 18, 2017, Father Solanus Casey is a powerful example of humility, simplicity, and perseverance in the vocation to which he was called. Fr. Solanus is known for his spirituality of thanking God ahead of time and for his faithful service of God's people, especially the troubled, sick, and poor.
Two of the Sisters (one of whom is related to Fr. Solanus) were blessed to travel to Detroit for the beatification of Fr. Solanus. One of the greatest blessings the Sisters received while in Detroit was the opportunity to pray for all the intentions of the community at the tomb of the newly beatified friar. The Sisters attended the Beatification Mass and were able to venerate the relic of Fr. Solanus which was presented during the beatification ceremony.
