The Marian Sisters of Santa Rosa are a newly established religious community of Catholic women living the evangelical life of poverty, chastity and obedience in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary in the heart of the Church. We are joyfully devoted to contemplation and evangelization according to the traditions, spirit and teachings of the Catholic Church. Working closely with His Excellency, Bishop Robert Vasa, our life and labors of love have their beginnings in the diocese of Santa Rosa, California.
Called to a life of total consecration to Christ and His Church, we take the Blessed Virgin Mary as our inspiration and model and dedicate our time and talents completely to the service of God and neighbor. We recognize the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience as a gift of the Most Holy Trinity, which we embrace by vow in loving response to our call to religious consecration. These vows constitute the essence of our religious lives and impart stability and higher consecration. They lovingly compel us to live as Christ lived in areas which cover our whole life: possessions, affection and autonomy.
MISSION: A charism is a religious community’s distinctive gift communicated to the Church through its spirit, prayer-life and active works. As Marian Sisters we are animated by a desire to magnify Jesus Christ in and through our lives of consecration to Mary. We strive to communicate the beauty, goodness and truth of the Catholic Faith through our works of joyful evangelization while living the fullness of the Church’s liturgical life.
