"My dear people...
in this centenary year of the apparitions of Mary at Fatima it seems good to take the opportunity to revitalize our spiritual relationship with the Lord's loving Mother. As we gather today we are aware that the needs for which Mary asked the little shepherds of Fatima to pray are still with us. She asked for prayers of peace, for the conversion of sinners and for acts of reparation for the offenses to Her Immaculate Heart and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. These needs continue today and Mary has not revoked her request that we pray the rosary for these intentions. Tonight we will listen and respond to the Word of God, we will sing hymns in honor of Mary, and we will recite the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. Following this, we will recite together our Act of Consecration. The Act of Consecration we make today is being recited in every Church of the Diocese of Santa Rosa on this weekend. Thus, we call upon our Blessed Mother, as we did in 1983, to bless us, to keep our families safe, to strengthen the spiritual health of our parishes and to protect our Diocese and all in it from harm."
St. Francisco, pray for us.
St. Jacinta, pray for us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
