On the First Saturday of April, Our Lady of Grace Sodality celebrated the consecration of one of the Sodalists.
Saturday, traditionally dedicated specially to the honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a Marian day in the convent as well. Together we renew our total consecration to Jesus through Mary and honor her by our devotional practices. In imitation of her hidden life, we thoroughly clean the convent each Saturday, but the day is also marked by a wide variety of apostolic activities.
Christ came to do the will of the Father who sent Him, and He did it steadily, becoming a cause of salvation for all who obey. Our lives of consecration are lives of deep identification with the His sacred life; each of our actions proceeds from His will and is carried on by His assistance, redounding for His glory.
This Advent has been a busy and fruitful season for Our Lady of Grace Sodality, an apostolate of the Community for young ladies who desire to deepen their spiritual lives through Marian consecration and service of the Church.
The Sisters enjoying time with their small group at Ignite Your Torch As summer draws to a close, all the Sisters embrace God's will in the form of new assignments - the Sister Teachers turn close attention to spiritual and academic preparations for the new souls in their charge this year, the Sister Catechists pray that this year's curriculum paired with their prayerful presence is God's instrument in building and maintaining the spiritual lives of the souls they will encounter, and the Novitiate prepares for changes of duties and new formation classes.
