Beauty in the North

In June, many of our Sisters traveled up the coast and served in camps for the young people of Ft. Bragg and Crescent City.

Each year the joy of the Easter and Pentecost season is extended for us Marian Sisters of Santa Rosa by both the monthly devotions and the great Feasts which the Church offers us in June and July. The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is honored in the month of June, and in July we honor the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Within these two months are many great Feasts, but our Community especially loves Corpus Christi.

America the Beautiful

On the 4th of July, we celebrate and give thanks to God for our beautiful country. We have the traditional BBQ, decorate our patio with red, white, and blue, have a water balloon toss, sing patriotic songs around the campfire, and -- for those willing to stay up after grand silence -- watch the local fireworks from the top of our hill. But beyond these joyous and meaningful community traditions, we spend the day in prayer for our country.
