Serving With Christ

Summer has drawn to a close, school has begun, and the Sisters resume the steadiness of their regular apostolates after a summer of apostolic adventures in our Diocese and beyond.

From Christmas to Pentecost, Holy Mother Church unfolds the great feasts of Redemption before our eyes. After a kaleidoscope of feasts, we settle into Time after Pentecost. This season allows us to mature and grow in the graces manifested in the mysteries of our redemption, as Dom Gueranger writes, "to give solidity and permanence to the image of Christ formed within us". As the season is pointed to the culminating feast of the liturgical year: Christ the King, it is our time to work with Christ for the coming of His Kingdom.

Taking a fresh look at our normal apostolates, we remember that Christ "did not come to be served by to serve and to give His life for many." As the bride must resemble her Bridegroom, we strive to give ourselves more deeply each day in loving service of the souls entrusted to our care.
