In just a few weeks, on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (June 12th, 2015) Sisters Teresa Maguire and Marissa Zieminski will be invested with the holy habit and become novices. Deo gratias! This will be a day of great joy for our community.
The Investiture Ceremony is a private ceremony with the community. Early in the morning, the new novices will enter the chapel as brides, request entry into the novitiate, cast off their worldly garb, and have their hair cut. They then approach the altar, kneel, and are clothed with the holy habit of our community by our Mother Superior. After the clothing, the new novices will receive their religious names, including a title of Our Lady. Finally, all of the Sisters will move to the shrine of Our Lady and together we will renew our Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. Please pray for our soon-to-be novices!
